Better Built Metal Sales Medallion-Lok Structural Standing Seam Metal Roofing System combines the style and beauty of an architectural product with the load handling characteristics of a structural roofing system. Medallion-Lok is also an excellent choice for mansards or fascia.

Panels are joined by an integral locking seam and held into place by concealed metal roofing clips. A bead of sealant is factory applied in Medallion-Lok’s seam upon request. The Medallion-Lok System may be installed over solid decking or sub-framing. Standard panel width is 16”. Other widths are available upon request. Medallion-Lok’s testing program includes: UL 90 wind uplift; ASTM E1646 water infiltration; ASTM E1680 air infiltration; and UL 2218 Class 4 impact resistance. Minimum slope of 3:12 is recommended.

 1) All calculations for properties of panels are calculated in accordance with the 1996 Col-Formed Steel Design Manual published by the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) Wind loads and deflection loads are limited by a deflection of L/180, except Mega-Rib, which is L/120.
 2) Values shown as allowable loads are based on panels covering three (3) or more equal continuous spans. Multiply values shown by 0.8 for tow (2) span condition.
 3) Allowable loads (deflection) for wind shown have been increased by 33 1/3%.
 4) For wind loads stress only, multiply live load (stress) by 1.33.
 5) Weight of the panel has not been deducted from values to obtain net allowable load.
